Tanmay leads new media communication for the Abt Associates-led SHOPS Plus project in India. In this position, he has overseen several large-scale, innovative digital programs that have addressed some of world’s most complex social challenges and positively touched the lives of millions of people.
He brings to the table 18+ years of experience at the intersection of digital marketing, communication, and product development across the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. As a seasoned practitioner of design thinking, he has a sharp eye for fast-evolving consumer needs in the digital world. Over the last decade he has successfully led new media practices at organizations of global repute.
With a focus on driving digital strategy and growth, Tanmay has launched multiple “India’s firsts” and won numerous industry awards in India and abroad. In his previous stint in BBC Media Action, he contributed to an e-book on how to make digital interventions sustainable.
